Jessie loves cuddles and affection once she is comfortable with you. She loves her walks, running through the woods and will occasionally have a splash in the lake. Jessie is a playful girl and loves her cuddly teddies. Jessie doesn’t like strangers/visitors or walking in the rain, she will “put the brakes on” until it stops! Jessie will require an experienced adult only home. Jessie can be “picky” with dogs she will bond with; she could live with a male dog with slow and sensible introductions. Jessie currently lives with a cat and can live with one in her future home with careful introductions. Jessie accepts a collar, lead and harness, she loves her walks but can be reactive toward strangers and other dogs so will require further training regarding this. Fostering a rescue dog is not something to take on lightly, they need full commitment and a lot of work and patience to allow them to blossom. There may be many challenges to overcome so please ensure full commitment before applying. Jessie does not use a crate. She is fully toilet trained and sleeps well overnight. Jessie has never been destructive and can be left for up to 6 hours. Please understand this may change in a new environment. Jessie will go in the car but can experience travel sickness. Her current home is willing to assist transporting if required.
