This is the lovely little lad, Jack! Jack is described as loving and lovable. He loves a cuddle and having his paws stroked. Jack is a clever boy and picks things up quickly, he has already learnt the command, sit, paw, and wait. He loves to please you and would do well in a home who can train him properly. He responds well to treats but isn’t a fan of healthy treats like carrots.
Jack requires an experienced adult only home who can ensure boundaries are put in place as Jack can be dominant.
Jack currently lives with dogs, and he gets on well with them and likes to play fight. He could live with another confident with slow and sensible introductions.
Jack has not met cats.
Jack accepts collar, harness, and lead without issue, he enjoys his walks, sniffing and marking. He does pull on walks which his current home has been working on which will need to continue in his future home.
Fostering a rescue dog is not something to take on lightly, they need full commitment and a lot of work and patience to allow them to blossom. There may be many challenges to overcome so please ensure full commitment before applying.
Jack isn’t completely toilet trained; his current home feel it is more relating to marking territory opposed to accidents. He is crate trained and sleeps well over night also. Please understand this may change in a new environment.
Jack has shown no signs of separation anxiety, but has had the resident dogs as company, he has not been destructive per se, however, he will chew up a toilet roll if he gets hold of one.
