Meet Vinnie, “Vinnie's owners have made the difficult decision to surrender him due to a decline in his behaviour since they had a baby. This has caused him to become reactive towards other dogs while on walks as well as reactive towards strangers in the home. They feel he is not safe around the baby and that he need someone who can dedicate more time to his training and confidence building.
Vinnie will need a home with minimal visitors and someone willing to continue building his confidence and provide training.
Vinnie is a very loyal, loving and affectionate boy. He isn't a fan of baths or showers and hates being wet however, he takes this in his stride. He loves cuddles and getting lots of attention from his favourite people however, he equally likes his own space in the home to be able to settle and have some alone time. He loves being outside in the garden and is a super playful boy who loves his toys, especially anything that squeaks and he will spend hours chewing his bone” 💞
Vinnie currently lives with a 2 year old who he has been very good with and very gentle, he can however become overwhelmed if she is very active or moving around lots. Vinnie can share his home with children 12+ following sensible introductions and who respect his boundaries 👶
Vinnie can share his home with another dog, he can be very excited to see other dogs which can cause reactivity however, he is very friendly and loves to play once they are introduced. He can therefore share his home with dogs following sensible introductions 🐾
Vinnie accepts a collar, harness and lead. He is very strong on the lead and does pull however, he will calm down and responds well to heal. He can however be reactive towards other dogs on walks which causes him to bark, growl and squeal, this is due to excitement and not aggression. Once he has said hello to the dog or they have passed he will calm down. Vinnie loves his walks and loves to run around in secure fields and burn off his energy.
Vinnie is a high energy boy who needs an active family to give him lots of attention and time. He will need lots of long walks, training and mental stimulation to keep him out of trouble and keep him busy but more importantly he needs someone who can love him unconditionally. He has a beautiful personality and character. 🐕🦺
Vinnie has never been around cats and would therefore need a cat free home 🐈
Vinnie is toilet trained but is not crate trained. He can be known to be destructive towards shoes, carpet and does love to dig holes in the garden. Vinnie can be left alone for short periods of time within the home with no issues. He sleeps well overnight and travels well in the car
Vinnie has been known to be noise reactive to noises he hears outside especially people and he will bark if people knock on the door. He would therefore prefer a home in a quieter area 💞
