Meet Eddie who has recently been living with a foster and is now ready for a forever home. Eddie needs an experienced adult only home who enjoy being active.

🐾Adopting or fostering a rescue dog isn’t something to take on lightly, they need full commitment and a lot work and patience to allow them to blossom.

He has been living with a foster in Aberdeenshire and has made good progress with his training. Please remember that he will need time to decompress in his new home. His new home will need to be committed to his ongoing training.

Once Eddie has built trust with you he is a loyal companion. He loves to be active and busy through physical and mental stimulation.

Eddie tends to seek affection from men more than women. He enjoys a stoke and a fuss on his terms.

Eddie has shown some reactivity if he feels threatened. He has also shown protective behaviour when with his foster, this has been and will need to be discouraged. Eddie has growled at people before and has launched at them with no prior warning.

Eddie arrived in the UK in January this year and was returned to PPTF due to his behaviour toward the resident dog and subsequently towards the adopters.

Eddie gets on well with other dogs and is thought that he would benefit from sharing his new home with another confident dog. Introductions must be slow, sensible and supervised. Eddie has shown food aggression and will need to be fed separately to any resident dogs.

Eddie cannot live with cats, he tries to attack them.

Eddie cannot live with children. An adult only home is required.

Eddie wears a collar and lead when going out for a walk. He can pull to begin with and soon settles down. He loves being a long lead to play.

Eddie suffers from separation anxiety and will need a home that is around most of the time. He travels well in the car and has his chew toy with him as a comfort.

Eddie sleeps well through the night, he lets his foster know when he needs to go out, which can be 4am and then he goes back to sleep. Once he’s formed a bond with you, he likes to sleep near you.

Eddie enjoys a fuss and a cuddle when he completes a task during training. He likes to please.

Have you got the room in your heart and home to help Eddie reach his potential?

We strongly advise slow, sensible and supervised introductions with pets, other family members and visitors initially.
